Smart Eyewear Program
The Smart Eyewear Program introduces a new software capability designed to support the growing demand for prescription smart eyewear and to equip eyecare professionals with a reliable, in-house mounting solution.
The program allows a new, fully-integrated workflow within our ES™ and ES PRO™ edging systems, enabling opticians to edge and mount prescription lenses into smart eyewear directly in-house, with consistency and confidence.
This program combines:
- A proprietary bevel geometry developed by Essilor Instruments for smart eyewear frames or deep-bezel frames to enhance fitting performance.
- An advanced method for computing the bevel trajectory to match the frame’s bezel trajectory, developed by Essilor Instruments.
The result is an automated process that removes the need for manual adjustments, trial-and error, or advanced expertise.
The program can now be activated in any ES™ and ES PRO™ edging systems, via local Ray-Ban®, Oakley®, and Nuance Audio™ alignment.
With the Smart Eyewear Program, eyecare professionals have the capability to accelerate the adoption of prescription smart eyewear, increase in-house conversion and the average selling price, improve operational efficiency, and reduce rework all while delivering a consistent and premium customer experience.
